The Easiest Way to…
After picking out the meals for the week I can then print out the weekly menu and easily create my shopping list for the ingredients needed. Just click on the recipe, click list, and items quickly get added to the shopping list. Cook’n even noted the approximate costs for each ingredient!
Soon the software will be available as a mobile app for androids ($19.95) and i-phones. You will be able to sync recipes with your desktop version, scan hundreds of recipes on the go, adjust recipe serving sizes, and easily e-mail recipes to others. Not sure if I would pay that price for the mobile app but it is still a nice option to have for syncing and on the go use.
The only downside is that I do find the cost of the software ($79.95) a bit pricey. If it were 1/2 the cost I’d be more likely to purchase on my own. I would not normally pay $80 for an app like this BUT I do have to say that using this software has definitely cut down my time spent on planning our meals and shopping lists each week. Not to mention that I can make my own personalized cookbook. So perhaps it’s worth it in the end?
And today I have good news!
For the month of March I am giving away a copy of this software to a lucky commentor of Notes from Two Sisters.
